  • Col Vetoraz Winery Logo

    Col Vetoraz Winery.
    Valdobbiadene-Conegliano. Italy.

Col Vetoraz lays on the very top of the homonymous hill next to the "Mont" of Cartizze in S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene.

This is the land of Prosecco, where the typical bouquet, spice and harmony of this wine have been produced for centuries. The Valdobbiadene-Conegliano district, with more than 100 makers of Prosecco, is one of the most important sparkling wine making areas in Italy and the world.

The history of a wine, especially one of ancient origins, is intimately linked not only to the land where it is produced, but also to the events that over time have marked the life of the successive generations inhabiting the local territory. Prosecco, in fact, grown for over 10 centuries in the foothills of the Marca Trevigiana running from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano, has significantly influenced the habits, the customs, the traditions and the economy of the local community.

To locals, it is known as Bull Kelp or Rimurapa. The label is a visual interpretation of the seaweed with its strong flowing lines, shapes and textures.

This wine label is about business, family,  lifestyle and of course excellent wine. The aim is to produce classic fruit driven Marlborough wines.  It is driven by the women in the Waghorn family and aims to be accessible and affordable.

  • Lloyd Brothers Winery Logo

    Lloyd Brothers Winery.
    McLaren Vale. South Australia.

Lloyd Brothers are third generation vignerons following in the footsteps of their grandparents who first planted vines in McLaren Vale during the 1960’s. Half a century on David continues that tradition owning a vineyard and olive grove in the Seaview sub region of McLaren Vale.

The McLaren vale property is 60 acres evenly proportioned between vineyard and olive grove. The vineyard is entirely Shiraz whilst the olive grove is principally planted to Kalamata making it one of the oldest commercial groves in Australia.

Whether in the vineyard or the olive grove the emphasis is always on quality. This is achieved through hand pruning and picking as well as a careful fruit selection process. Only the best is retained for the Lloyd Brothers range and all batches undergo a grading process to determine the final product destination.

  • Rochford Wines Logo

    Rochford Wines.
    Macedon Ranges. Victoria

Rochford Wines is a boutique, family owned grape-growing and wine-making enterprise located on the Maroondah Highway at Coldstream. Drawing on fruit from both the original Rochford site near Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges and the more latterly acquired Yarra Valley vineyards, we endeavour to produce wines which reflect both the varietal characteristics of the grapes and the nature of the sites on which they are grown.

We fulfil our key criteria of elegance, balance and varietal authenticity in our estate grown wines by the implementation of sustainable viticultural practices in our vineyards and employing sympathetic winemaking techniques in the winery, thus maximising the potential of the fruit from each vintage.

    Scotchmans Hill Winery.
    Bellarine Peninsula. Victoria

The Bellarine Peninsula on the south coast of the southern state of Victoria, Australia, has been home to four generations of the Browne family. In 1982, Vivienne and David Browne established the Scotchmans Hill winery on Mount Bellarine, the extinct volcano that forms the tip of the peninsula. The land on which the vineyard was planted had been given its name by a group of Scottish immigrants who settled in the area in 1885.

Still owned and run by the Browne family, Scotchmans Hill is now one of the largest privately owned wineries in Victoria. Modern and traditional winemaking techniques are utilised to produce some of Australia’s most individual wines, with characteristics typical of the region.

  • Tar & Roses Winery Logo

    Tar & Roses Winery.
    Heathcote Ranges. Victoria

Tar & Roses was born through the shared desire of Don Lewis and Narelle King to create a temporary range of Australian wines bases on classic Italian and Spanish varieties including Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Tempranillo.

Each year for the past five, Don and Narelle have made wine in the small Spanish town of Priorat. This has cemented their mutual fascination with these varieties, ancient, rocky vineyards and old world wine making.

Back here in Australia, all Tar & Roses wines are made in Central Victoria – notably, Heathcote and the Strathbogie ranges. Tar & Roses encapsulates the complexity and interest of this story. One that shows the relationship between Don and Narelle and the multi-regions of Italy, Spain and Australia. It is a brand that speaks of the traditions of wine merging with the cutting edge of Australian winemaking, bridging the old world with the new.
